Fire Compartmentation Survey and Report Preparation
Over the life of an existing building, many changes take place within that can affect how well the elements of the building hold back fire and smoke spread. New services such as cable TV, communication and internet cables, new electrical works and works on water and gas supplies can all result in original fire barriers being removed, not replaced and new penetrations made and either not filled or not filled correctly. These scenarios will result in fire and smoke being able to travel throughout a building, limiting escape and survival time.
The survey we conduct looks at all parts of the building including under floors, above ceilings, in service risers, store rooms and cupboards and roof spaces. Deficiencies are photographed and a report of the findings compiled. We provide advice on how to rectify the identified issues, including what type of propriatry product to use.
