Whilst not having the types of fire hazards identified within a large industrial complex, these buildings represent an area that we all come into contact with from time to time. These building often hold functions and events that will see many hundreds of members of the public entering them. It is the owner/operators duty of care to ensure that whilst the public are in the building they have the comfort that the highest levels of fire safety has been afforded them.
A fire risk assessment is a legal requirement under the Regulatory (Fire Safety) Reform Order 2005, often called simply 'The Fire Safety Order'.
